Firmware vs Prod Keys — Do You Need Both?
These two files are routinely confused because a missing one looks like a missing other. They solve different problems, and the symptom tells you which is absent.

Decide in two questions
- Does any game load at all? If none do, the problem is keys. See keys not found.
- Do older games load but newer ones stop with a version message? That is firmware. See firmware too low.
Why you usually need both
A current setup has both installed and both on the same generation — keys so the game can be read, firmware so it is permitted to run. Set them up together using the install guide and the firmware page.
